AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

South Shore Area Forum has requested £7,412.94 to create a combined pot of money which would be used to support projects that address forum wide issues, such as anti-social behaviour, dog fouling and fly-tipping.

Councillor Mrs Haynes of Hawes Side Ward has requested:
(i) £2,900 as a contribution towards highway alternations at Bostonway to allow more parking and additional footpaths.
(ii) £3,000 as funding for gully cleansing throughout Hawes Side Ward.
(iii)£160 as a donation to the Bostonway Residents Association for the purchase of 8 rolls of Bamboo Reeding for Bostonway Garden.
